PRIVATE STUDIO FOR 1-1 & DUETs
10 YEARS OF PILATES in WANDSWORTH COMMON
The Loft Pilates Studio was established in 2014 as a Reformer Pilates studio offering small-group Reformer Pilates classes.
We later expanded to offer private 1-1 and duet equipment Pilates in Studio 1, our dedicated private studio and in 2024 we opened our brand new wellness studio "Studio 3" offering mat Pilates, Barre, Adult Ballet, Yoga and Sound Baths.
All 3 of our studios offer a calm backdrop to your practice in a studio where we pride ourselves on the personal touch, whether that's offering hands-on adjustments, modifications to suit your body or something as simple as knowing your name when you walk through the door!
PASSIONATE ABOUT pilates
Our aim is to provide world-class Pilates instruction and education to our clients in an exclusive environment whereby each individual gets hands-on attention, be it in a reformer class or 1:1 setting, to create a balanced, functional body.

As Joseph Pilates stated “Controlology (Pilates) develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.” The Loft Pilates Studio encompasses this statement, aiming to balance the mind and body to enable the client to complete whatever their passion is, be it work, sports, Pilates, or everyday life, with optimal physical and mental conditioning.

WHY CHOOSE EQUIPMENT pilates
FASTER results
The equipment we use in Pilates utilizes pulleys and springs to assist or resist movement using the participants own body weight. It provides extra resistance so that strength and stamina are built quicker than with mat work alone.
CONNECTION & feedback
Clients also feel that they can get more feedback from the machines than with matwork alone and it enables them to make and understand a better connection with their body. The equipment highlights imbalances and weaknesses which through a personalised plan are targeted and strengthened improving mobility, flexibility, balance and strength
SUPPORTED recovery
If you're recovering from injury, surgery or are pre or post-natal, the equipment springs can support some of the body's weight and provide extra assistance to help you rediscover your range of movement and improve your mobility safely.
TARGETED & efficient
The specialized equipment used in our studios allows for very focused training environment. We can isolate and work muscle groups directly whilst activating dormant muscles through correct alignment and verbal cues improving posture and well being

THE HISTORY OF pilates
Originally created by a German man named Joseph H. Pilates in the 1920s, Pilates is a series of exercises designed to target the deep muscles of the abdomen and spine to strengthen the body from the inside out.
It focuses on breath and proper alignment with the goal of achieving a balance of strength and flexibility. This creates better balance in the body which translates to your movement through all of life’s activities, improving your posture and muscle tone.
